Unique Databases designed a number of SQL Server databases for management of their Funding projects. The applications use Microsoft Access to link to the SQL Server Database from office and remote locations.

Clinical Trial.
Unique Databases designed a dual entry database with comprehensive Edit Checks for the 70 pages of data captured per patient. Data entry summary pages allow rapid assessment of the data entry status and the differences between the two sets of data are automatically highlighted.

The Voluntary Action Fund is an independent grant-making trust which invests in voluntary and community based organisations across Scotland.
They had created a large number of Access databases over the years to support their Grant programs. Unique Databases merged the historical data into a single database to greatly simplify the management of their data and provide a single unified structure for future Grant programs
NHS Lothian needed a complete re-write of their c:card database, as their original Access 97 database no longer functioned.
The existing data from around 50,000 records was imported into a new Access 2003 Database. New data capture screens have made the data entry task quicker and more accurate. Report generation has been greatly simplified and now reflects the entered data. They were particularly pleased to have an initial trial system 4 weeks after their order, and were entering live data two weeks later.

The Older Persons' Advice Project's (OPAP) principal aims are to maximise benefit income, to provide advice and assistance on a wide range of topics and to gather information on issues affecting, the over 60s. Unique Databases developed an Access database capable of recording and managing all the project data.
This project was given the Outstanding Achievement in Housing in Scotland award in the UK Housing Awards 2009.
When this successful project was extended, Unique Databases were again able to provide a complete Database solution.
